The MERLIN Project is holding its mid-term conference in Antwerp on 17 June 2014!
UNIFE, UIC and the MERLIN Project Consortium are pleased to invite you to attend the MERLIN Project Mid-Term Conference that will be held on Day 1 of UIC Energy Efficiency Days 2014. This two-day major event co-organised by UIC, SNCB and Infrabel and hosting the Eress Forum will comprise plenary sessions and workshops providing an insight into the latest railway developments in the field of energy efficiency at global, national and local level.
The MERLIN Project, funded through the Seventh Framework Programme for Research (FP7) of the European Commission, aims to investigate and demonstrate the viability of an integrated management system to achieve a more sustainable and optimised energy usage in European mainline railway systems.
The conference will take stock of the research work performed so far, and will also look ahead at the future work to be undertaken.
A dedicated MERLIN workshop is also planned for the second day of the UIC Energy Efficiency Days, which will focus in more detail on the research carried out in the project.
Do not hesitate to circulate this information around you.
We look forward to meeting you in Antwerp.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are registered and that your hotel room is booked early!!
